The Seal features 'Blade' technology which BYD produce. It's also known as an 'LFP' (Lithium iron-phosphate) battery and is free of cobalt, meaning that it is cheaper to produce and more sustainable. The battery is 82.5 kWh and supports rapid charging at 150 kW, going from 30-80% in just over 25 minutes, and a driving range of up to 350 miles. Entry level models have a 313 PS and the more powerful all-wheel drive Seal has a 530 PS and can go from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds.
Technology wise, the Seal is packed with all the latest, including a 15.6-inch rotatable screen with voice command, also a 10.25 inch instrument panel for easy vehicle control. Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Change Assist and 360-degree panoramic cameras all add to the safety tech and the cars' desirability.
